Please note the following important information regarding tryouts and registration:

1) ALL players who wish to tryout for the York Simcoe Express MUST supply a Permission to Skate Form from their home centre at the first tryout.  Players WILL NOT be allowed on the ice if they do not have a Permission to Skate Form.  Please note the OMHA has adjusted the YSEHA Zone for beginning with the 2010 / 2011 season and have removed Beeton and TNT from YSEHA and re-assigned them to Barrie.  Players who were on a YSE roster for the 2009 / 2010 season have been provided with the Grandfather option to remain with the YSEHA.

2) Waivers are granted by the Coach of the team for your birth year  ONLY.  The VP of Hockey Operations WILL NOT provide a waiver without the Coach providing a letter releasing the player from the team the player was trying for.  Players who received a waiver in their Minor year do not need to request a waiver for their Major year as long as they are playing for the same team in the Major year that they played for in the Minor year.  Effective this season, there is no cost to receive a waiver.

3) The cost for tryouts is $20.00 for 1 hour, $25.00 for 1.25 hours, $30.00 for 1.5 hours, $35 for 1.75 hours and $40.00 for 2 hours.  Goalies who are offered and sign their offer letter with a YSEHA team will be refunded the cost of the Goalie tryout only

4) Please print off and complete the Tryout Registration Form and bring it with you along with the Permission to Skate form to the first tryout.  Goalies are also required to print off and complete the Tryout Registration Form AND send a pre-registration email to ysegoalie@gmail.com with the following information: First and Last Name, Birth Date, Last Season's Team ( Newmarket Bantam, Aurora Minor Atom etc.), Last Season's Team Level (AAA, AA etc.), Parent Contact Name, Parent Contact Phone Number & Email Address.  Goalie pre-registration deadline is 5pm on Saturday, April 11.  If you need help completing the Tryout Registration form please click HERE to see a sample.

5) All players are reminded to wear proper equipment per the OMHA rules.  This includes, mouth guards, neck protection and goalie 'dangles'  (plastic neck guards).  Players not wearing appropriate protection in compliance with OMHA rules will be removed from the ice surface.
