The York Simcoe Express Hockey Association is excited to announce they will continue on with the tradition started last season of providing a $1,000 bursary toward post-secondary education, to a player on the 2009 /2010 Major Midget YSEHA team.

The bursary program is a way to  recognize and support dedicated, talented YSEHA players who are continuing on with a post secondary education.  Players from the Major Midget team are  asked to submit essays on why they feel they are deserving of the award.  Essays will be reviewed by the YSEHA Executive and the winner will be announced at the season ending Banquet in April.

Players interested in participating are asked to include information on tenure with the YSEHA as well as details about the Institution they will be attending and the program they will focus on.  Essays should be submitted to YSEHA President Dan Kuzmyk at president@ysehockey.com no later than March 1, 2010.
