The York Simcoe Express
Hockey Association held it's Annual General Meeting on
Wednesday, May 27 at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex in
Newmarket.The evening included a report on the past season
from each member of the YSEHA Board of Directors and concluded
with the election of Board Directors for positions at the end of
their term.
YSEHA President Denise MacNeil concluded her two year term as
President. The YSEHA would like to thank Denise for the
countless hours she has contributed to the YSE and the Board
would especially like to thank Denise for her leadership over
the last 2 seasons. We are pleased to announce that Denise
will continue to sit on the YSEHA Board in the position of Past
President.
With Denise moving on, the YSEHA would like to congratulate
Dan Kuzmyk on his election as President of the YSEHA. Dan
has been a valued member of the YSEHA Board of Directors and now
steps up to lead the Board for the next 2 years.
Congratulations Dan.
The YSEHA would also like to welcome the following new Board
Members who were elected Wednesday evening:
Treasurer - Albert Collu
Fundraising Director - Mike Kensit
Congratulations to each of you on your election to the Board
and we look forward to your contribution as we endeavour to
continue to build the YSEHA into one of the most respected minor
hockey associations in Canada.
Last nights AGM also saw the following Board members get
re-elected:
Registrar - Scott Thomas
Equipment Director - Nancy Catenacci
Congratulations Scott and Nancy.
The YSEHA would also like to welcome Steve Sedore who will
now sit on our Board as the Georgina Rep. Steve has an
extensive hockey background and the Board looks forward to
Steve's contribution toward the continuing evolution of the
YSEHA.
The YSEHA is still looking for Area Reps to sit on our Board.

President of your local minor hockey association to express your
interest.
With the conclusion of the AGM, the 2008 / 2009 season
officially comes to a close for the York Simcoe Express Hockey
Association and we now look forward with great excitement to the
2009 / 2010 season.
