What better way to cap off the
best season in the history of the York Simcoe Express Hockey Association
than to round it off with 11 players from the highly successful Minor
Midget Express being selected in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.
Not only were 11 players taken from the Minor Midget Express, but 3 of
them were taken in the 1st round and Daniel Catenacci was selected as
the first overall pick by Sault Ste. Marie.
Today is the second step toward a
dream for these players and now they will test their abilities in the
various OHL training camps. Some of these players will be in the
OHL this year while some will test the OJHL ranks and others may return
to play Major Midget. However, today is a very special day and all
of these players as well as their team mates who were not drafted,
deserve a tremendous amount of credit for their effort, dedication and
successes over the years.
The York Simcoe Express Hockey
Association is extremely proud and happy to announce the following
players who were selected in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.
Daniel Catenacci - 1st Round, 1st
